The New Walk Museum
Year 2 had an exciting school trip to the New Walk Museum in Leicester last Tuesday and saw some Ancient Egyptian artefacts.
They saw what Ancient Egyptians wore, what they ate and also two real mummies in their sarcophagi.
At the exhibition, the children dressed up like Ancient Egyptians and mummies, played awesome games to help them learn about Egypt and touched some real artefacts that were 3000 years old!
At the dinosaur exhibit they made their own earthquakes, saw special rocks called fossils that were sparkly and shiny and also saw dinosaur bones; they were real bones.
There was also a gallery of paintings all about Victorians and Siam.
