Winter Sporting News

Our sporty children have been getting up to a lot this month, from football tournaments to trying new sports clubs to partaking in a specialist sports programme. See below what team Greenfields have been getting up to this week.

On Monday Year Five and Six participated in the Speed Shot Challenge with Dan Flint from DRET, where the students could see how fast they could kick a football into the goal. There were some brilliant efforts from pupils and staff alike. Well done to Mr Hughes for winning the staff competition!

Dan did some excellent sport with all other year groups too, including Tag Rugby with Year Three and the Horizon programme with Years One and Two. Thanks Dan for visiting us!

On Tuesday evening, the Greenfields netball team went to Lodge Park in Corby and played against two very strong teams in the DRET tournament: Rockingham and Bringhurst primary schools. Team Greenfields played a total of 4 games and came out in second place. The team all played very well and should be really pleased with their efforts.

Keep your eyes peeled for the upcoming sporting fixtures:
