Celebrating Harvest in True Greenfields style!
Miss Mitchell and Mr Thorne led the assembly on Thursday. Jane and Matthew from Kettering Foodbank joined us. Everybody was so impressed with the musical contributions - Harvest Samba and YR's rendition of Old MacDonald went down a storm! They thought about the importance of teamwork throughout. As the school has learned in their new PiXL teamwork lessons, Together Everyone Achieves More! This was evident in the Harvest contributions at the front of the hall! They could not have done this without YOUR contributions. Jane talked about where our food would be going and thanked us for the incredible teamwork that will make a very real difference to the lives of people in our community, who are less fortunate than ourselves. And without Matthew, who drives the van to distribute food, it also would not have been possible. Together, everyone really does achieve more.
At the end of our assembly, the school were treated to a musical extravaganza as Asmeena and Aliana from Year Four performed Jewish Wedding on their violins. The girls reminded everyone that practice makes progress and that you can achieve anything you set your mind to, with a bit of hard work.
