Chocolate and the Mayans

Champion Cheetahs have had a wonderful return to school this week. They started off this term by learning about Mayan artwork and went on to take influence from this topic to design their own edible Mayan style artwork. The children also loved learning about the Olmecs and why they are considered the mother of Meso-American civilisations. The class now look forward to the week ahead when they continue our History topic at Cadbury World, learning about how chocolate is made and the history of chocolate in Maya civilisation.
