DRET Netball Workshop at Greenfields Primary and Nursery
On Wednesday 8th January, children at Greenfields Primary and Nursery took part in an exciting DRET Sport Netball workshop. The session was led by Celine Watts, the Netball Lead for the David Ross Education Trust (DRET), along with other DRET sports staff. Together, they delivered a fun and engaging session filled with netball skills games and drills.
The children practised key skills such as throwing, catching, and passing, focusing on mastering techniques like the bounce pass and chest pass. They also took part in a game of netball without the nets, which allowed them to work on court awareness, spacing, and footwork. The children had a fantastic time and showed great enthusiasm throughout.Feedback from the children was incredibly positive, with one saying, "I loved this netball workshop today; I think I would like to start playing on the netball team." The session concluded withthe children receiving a certificate of participation to celebrate their effort and enthusiasm. Well done to all the children for making the workshop such a success!
