Earth Day

This week the whole school celebrated Earth Day.  It started with an assembly, which left the whole school in complete shock when Miss Kenny got her foot stuck in a discarded plastic carrier bag and fell flat on her face. As a result, everyone pledged to work together to become a 'litter free school'. 

They carried out tasks around the school that gave back to the beautiful planet including; making bug hotels, bird feeders and litter picking. They also discussed the importance of bees and how they should avoid picking flowers.
