Greenfields Apprentice Day
This week Greenfields held its annual Apprentice Day: across the school, the children from Nursery to Year Six chose what job they would like to learn about, and spend the day doing the job. They could choose from event planning, midwifery, the RAF, optometry, civil engineering, firefighting, baking, childcare, nursing and many more. The children loved having the opportunity to see into their future life after their school career and think about what it could be like.
A big thank you to all of those businesses and people who came in to support this exciting day!
A group of children spent the day at Busy Bees Nursery as part of our Apprentice Day. They spent the day caring for a pre-school child and finding out what it takes to have a career in childcare. Our Greenfields children loved the experience, did us proud and all came away asking when they could apply for a job at Busy Bees! Thanks to Lucy Jakeways at Busy Bees for making this incredible experience possible.
Ladybirds Class had great fun learning about all kinds of different job roles on Apprentice Day. The children got to practice being doctors, nurses, vets, fire fighters, builders, bakers and teachers. They also had special visits from a plumber and serving member of the Royal Air Force.
