Gurdwara Visit
Today, Year Four went on a learning visit to the Gurdwara in Kettering, which is a place where Sikhs gather to learn and practice the teachings of Sikhi. Everybody was so warm, welcoming and respectful. The children showed respect to the Guru Granth Sahib Ji ( the Sikh holy book) and heard the musicians playing and singing prayers. The children even got to see sach khand, which is the bedroom of the Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
What a special visit which really brought our Sikhi learning alive and helped Year Four understand more about one of the world's great religions.
Awe, wonder and respect in abundance.
