Ice Skating
On Tuesday, the Reception children had the best day at Nene Park! They went on the coach for the journey and when they got there, the classes changed their shoes and put on their blades or ice skates and had a go on the ice. Some of the group used penguins and other supports to help them skate and some of the children even had a go all by themselves! How brave!
After the skating session, the class went into the forest and had a treasure hunt to find some natural resources from the list they were given by the guide. They then made their way back inside and made a reindeer or a star using the materials they had found.
Next, the group had lunch together and talked about their experiences from the morning. They were so excited to talk about their time on the ice!
To finish the day, they went into the play park and enjoyed having a go on the slide, climbing on the equipment and using the swings!
Reception had a lovely day. Thank you to everyone who came along with us.
