Just Brilliant Children
At Greenfields, we like to take every opportunity to challenge our children. For the past two terms, this group of Year Six children have been working with a PhD student from the University of Leicester, learning about philosophy and ethics. In particular, they have been considering the question 'What is Fairness'. As well as attending seminars with their tutor (online like most university students during lockdown), they have also produced 1,000 word dissertations that show their understanding of the concept of fairness in many different ways, and from different points of view.
Each of the children worked extremely hard to complete this huge task, and on Wednesday, they graduated in a ceremony attended by schools involved in the project from across the country. The project is just one organised by The Brilliant Club, a charity that aims to support all children to think about entering University in the future.
