Marvellous Writers in Meerkats

This week, Marvellous Meerkats have spent the week finishing off their ‘Mr Big’ topic for English. During this unit, they have been learning all about a transformational tale text type, where the main character is different at the start compared to the end of the story. More specifically, the children have focused on a number of writers’ tools, such as speech marks, sentences of three, adverbial phrases, adjectives and fronted adverbials, which they have tried to incorporate into their hot write. Mr Leach was so pleased with the hard work, determination and effort that the children have demonstrated throughout this unit.
