Science Week at Greenfields Primary School and Nursery
This year’s Science Week at Greenfields was a resounding success, centred around the theme of ‘Change and Adapt’. Pupils across the school explored how we can change our habits and adapt our lifestyles to help sustain the environment and protect our planet.
Each class engaged in fun, hands-on activities that brought science to life. In Key Stage One, Year One focused on how we physically change as we grow. Pupils measured their own heights and compared them to adults during the lively Science Fair held in the afternoon on Friday – a fun and eye-opening experience for all!
Meanwhile, Year Six explored how dietary choices can impact both our health and the environment. They prepared a variety of delicious vegan dishes, offering the school community a change to sample healthy and sustainable alternatives.
During the Science Fair, creativity was showcased. Pupils presented innovative projects, from eco-friendly inventions to models highlighting how we can make changes. The turnout for the Science Fair was fantastic, with smiles, excitement and curiosity in every corner of the hall. Science Week truly inspired as all to think differently and act responsibly for a better future.
