Super Sharks Swimming
It turns out that all of our Year Five Super Sharks are super swimmers. They have spent every Thursday this half term learning the fundamentals of swimming with the swimming teachers at the Nene Centre Pool in Thrapston. Learning how to swim is part of the National Curriculum, so it's important that every child leaves Greenfields being able to swim and keep safe in water. This week was the final week, so the whole class learnt how to stay safe at the beach by understanding the meaning of the red, red and yellow and chequered flags. The children also learnt how to keep themselves safe if they fell in the water themselves, and how to rescue someone else safely using ropes made out of their clothes. Thank you to Mr Hughes for organising all the swimming for Year Five this term
