Telephone Engineers in Year One
This week Year One kick started Science Week by learning about inventor Alexander Graham Bell. The group talked about how he created the telephone to connect people and learned about his dad, who was a Speech Therapist. The children also learned about how his mum was deaf and he found communication very interesting. He even taught BSL as a teacher for the deaf. They then created their own phones using paper cups, string and some super engineering skills. They worked really well! Please try them out at our Science Fair this week!
