Where are Marvellous Meerkats?

Marvellous Meerkats thoroughly enjoyed finding their way with homemade compasses this week! All you need is a big mixing bowl, an upturned object to hold a bar magnet and a very steady hand. Not necessarily the items you'd have when trying to find your way home, but an interesting experiment to understand the way a compass works from the Earth's magnetic field.
