Who Created the Mackintosh?
This week in Year One, The children continued with their Science topic Material by exploring their different properties. They used pipettes and water to look at whether materials were absorbent or waterproof. The group also felt them to feel whether they were rough or smooth. After the experiments they disscussed why this property was important for the specific material and why people might choose to use them to make different things. The class then watched an interesting video about a man called Charles Rennie Mackintosh who created a special material to create raincoats.
