World Book Day 2023
In Soaring Eagles, Year Six spent time looking at Chapter 11 of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone: 'Quidditch'. This was followed by playing our very own version of the game!
Proud Lions and Dragonflies LOVED teaming up in pairs to create little Aslan lions (from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe). They became the best of friends and Dragonflies have taken home their lion pairs as a keepsake.
In Terrific Tigers they read Room on the Broom and The Gruffalo for World Book Day. The children enjoyed taking part in the various activities on offer through the day. They made potions, wands, finger mice and went on a nature walk to collect items to decorate their gruffalo!
Champion Cheetahs loved the World Book Day experience. They read The Last Wolf by Mini Grey and spoke about the more serious message behind the story of many animals losing their habitat due to deforestation. The class then went on to make the tree house from the book to home lots of endangered animals.
