World Book Day 2025

WOW! Greenfields had the best time celebrating World Book Day on Thursday! They kicked the day off in true Greenfields style with a joyous assembly with Miss Mitchell and Mr Reid to remind the children just how exciting and important reading is! 

Children chose which teacher to visit for 'Choose and Chill'. The choice was difficult with so many great choices! Not all of them were about bottoms and trumps! 

Then the children went back to their own class, and later on the teacher in the partner class, to read yet another great story! 

Finally, the day ended with a 'book' session following our book swaps in the Dance Studio! This was only possible due to the quality books that you sent in, so thank you so much for your contributions. It was brilliant day and so were your children's outfits! Shout out to all the 'Where's Wally' and also to Maeve as Aslan! Great choices and such fun!

At the end of the day, your child will have brought home a £1 book token to either be exchanged for a £1 book in bookshops or supermarkets or used towards the purchase of a book of your choice. Which reminds me, please do bring them along to spend at the Scholastic Book Fayre next week! I can't wait to see you all there. Your purchases earn Greenfields commission to spend on books for school, which the children will be choosing themselves this year!
