Year Four Swimming

This week, Remarkable Rhinos started their swimming lessons at the Nene Centre in Thrapston. The lessons focus on all levels of swimming, right from the start, with the emphasis on water safety and survival. The children cover all aspects of the National Curriculum Swimming programme, which forms part of their PE entitlement, but mostly we hope that the children develop a lifelong love of swimming and are able to swim for pleasure and exercise too. Older swimmers at Greenfields also have the opportunity to compete against other DRET schools in the annual DRET Summer Cup in Grantham, so we are always on the lookout for swimming talent!
