Year Two Dive into Rivers

This week, Year Two have been diving into the topic of rivers. They explored the mighty Mississippi and the incredible Amazon, discovering fascinating facts. Did you know the Amazon River is so wide in places that you can’t see the other side? The children loved sharing interesting facts like this! To bring our learning to life, the children created their own rivers using foil trays, mud, and water. Everyone had so much fun getting their hands messy while learning about how rivers flow and change shape. It was a fantastic way to combine creativity and Geography, and the children were buzzing with excitement!
