Year Two 'Levers'

This term in DT, the classes has been exploring mechanisms and how they work. They had the exciting opportunity to create their own lever mechanism, which they all enjoyed! Firstly, they cut out a lever strip and a cover, then carefully pushed a split pin through to allow movement. They then used glue to attach the cover to the lever, ensuring it was secure. Finally, they added the pictures they had designed, bringing their mechanisms to life. It was a fantastic hands-on experience that helped the children understand how levers work in real life!
